UN STUDIO TRES ANIMÉ...
Le studio Folimage a été créé en 1981 par Jacques-Rémy Girerd.
Spécialisée dans la réalisation de films image par image, cette entreprise désormais installée à Bourg-lès-Valence, dans la Drôme, produit des séries télévisées, des courts et des longs métrages.

Depuis 30 ans maintenant, Folimage développe sa singularité en produisant des séries d’animation ludoéducatives qui ont obtenu un très grand succès dans le monde entier. Le studio s’est également tourné vers la production de longs métrages et le catalogue de films en exploitation cinéma ne cesse de s’allonger.
Mais Folimage n’est pas seulement une structure de production. C’est aussi un lieu où l’on prend en considération l’ensemble de la galaxie animation: la formation de jeunes auteurs et l’ouverture au grand public sont aussi et depuis l’origine, au coeur des préoccupations de Folimage.
C’est dans cet esprit que sont nées La Poudrière, école du film d’animation en 1999 et L’équipée en 2004, association pour le développement du cinéma d’animation. Depuis le printemps 2009, ces différentes structures sont rassemblées au sein du site historique de La Cartoucherie, ancienne manufacture du XIXe siècle réhabilitée en véritable cour des images.

The Folimage Studio was created in 1981 by Jacques-Rémy Girerd.
Specializing in the creation of frame-by-frame animation, this firm, now located in Bourg-lès- Valence, in the Drôme, produces television series, feature films and shorts.
For thirty years now, Folimage has developed its unique focus on the production of entertaining educational films which have been recognized the world over. The studio also produces feature films and its list of films which have made it onto cinemas keeps growing. But Folimage is not only a production space. It is also a place where the entirety of the animation galaxy is taken into account: the education of young animators and an engagement with a wider public have also been at the heart of Folimage’s concerns since the beginning. It was this spirit that saw the creation of La Poudrière, a school of animated film, in 1999, and L’équipée, an association for the development of animation, in 2004. Since the spring of 2009, these different institutions have been located together on the historical site of La Cartoucherie, a nineteenth-century bullet factory which has been renovated into a veritable court of images.
